News!

Bry and I found out a few weeks ago that we are going to be blessed to have Baby #2! We are very excited and so is Curtis. He says, "I am going to be a big brother!" :) Our due date is Aug. 25 and Curtis' birthday is Aug. 16. I am hoping they do not fall on the same day. I had to see the doctor today to check on my blood pressure and she affirmed that we will have to be induced again. I told her that was fine, but I don't want to have the baby on the 16th. She laughed and said we could do that! So, we will probably have the baby a week or two before the 25th because she takes me between 38 and 39 weeks!
So far all is good...besides hungry all the time and a little nauseous! We don't care if it is a boy or girl and we won't be finding out the sex either. Bryant feels it is his job to go out and tell everyone what we are having...its that proud Daddy moment! Plus there has never been no greater suprise then when Curtis was born and we looked at each other and said, "It's a BOY!" It was well worth the wait! So, if it is a girl it will be my little Josie Nicole and if it is a boy it will be Lucas Bryant.

Merry Christmas!

Wow....where did today go?? We had a very nice a relaxing day today which was great! The day started off with me waking up CW @ 8:00am to see if Santa had been here. I took him to the potty and then he said, "Mommy, just take me back to my bed and sing me a song." I seriously couldn't believe what he was saying. So, after much discussion I finally got him to go downstairs! Bry was waiting for him and he was so excited...Santa had set up a Monster "Fruck" Truck cage match. He LOVED it!! We finally got him to start checking out his stocking and finally open up a gift. He opened a few, but none of them really caught his attention. He opened up Rex, from Toy Story and he was so excited. I told him to get the other little present from the tree and you know what he said before he even had it opened? "This is a piggy bank!" Seriously....I mean he is 2 and he guesses his next gift?!?!? Then he gets the next box and he says, "This is Woody!" At this point I am a little disgusted that he is guessing his gifts, but at least "Santa" knew what he wanted! Then he looked back at the tree one more time and he grabs the last one and says, "BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!" and rips the paper off faster then he has any of them. Sure enough it was Buzz! We all had a great time and we have more toys then I know what to do with. I had my house so clean and organized after a whole week off and now I am going to have to start over! Isn't our family so blessed?
As much as we love the presents of Christmas we started a ritual this year the night before Christmas we read the Bible (CW's Kid Bible) the birth of Jesus and the coming of the wise men, and we discussed that it was Jesus' Birthday and how thankful we are for him. CW knows that today is Jesus' Birthday and he can tell you that he was born in a stable and his mommy is Mary and his daddy is Joseph, although sometimes he says Moses...that's almost the same right? He can also tell you all the animals that where there to see Baby Jesus too! I am so proud of my little boy, he is so proud of what he learns at Sunday School and what we teach him. It is awesome to see the Lord in our son.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy your families and to enjoy a day of Peace and Rest!
Love you all!

Christmas Happenings

WOW!! It is nearly 2 days before Christmas! Where does time go? We have had such a busy month. We left for Ohio on Saturday and went to Aunt Bev & Uncle Larry's to bake cookies with Bry's family. We had such a good time. We stayed the night on Saturday and then Bry, CW, Doyle, Iris, and I all headed to IKEA to get the rest of my Christmas present....Panel Curtains for my sliding glass door!! (Bry got them put up last night and they look awesome! Pictures to come soon.) Then we went back to Iris and Doyle's and hung out with them and stayed the night at their house and headed home on Monday. We just relaxed the rest of the day Monday and then today we finished up our Christmas shopping and I cleaned house! We also got our hair cut tonight...I got about 5 inches cut off and I am back to being blonde! (once again, pics to come!) Tomorrow we will be finishing up a few things around the house and then heading back to Ohio to do Christmas @ Doyle and Iris's and then on Christmas Eve we will be off to Bev & Larry's to do Christmas with them and Brian & Chenoa and the kids. Then we have to rush back to IN to be @ Ruth Chris by 5:30 to eat supper with my family and then head to Mom & Dad's to open gifts with everyone! Then back to our house to wait to hear Santa's Reindeer on the roof top! We will be heading to Mom & Dad's in the afternoon on Christmas to eat and hang out. I am sure Curtis will be worn out and be having a few temper tantrums along the way...as this is our new way of life at times!! That and, "Mommy, why?" LOL I love my 2 year old! He is such a blessing, he is sweetest little boy that I could ever ask for. He is changing everyday and Bry and I just can't believe that he is getting so big! His vocabulary is expanding more than you can imagine and we get to hear him sing all the time! It is such a blessing to have this little boy in our presence. He reminds us of how grateful we should be for the little things in life.

Update

I can't believe it is the 14th of December. Where does time go? Curtis is growing so fast and he has changed more in the last month then I can believe. He officially has an opinion, he really allowed to have one already? When things don't go quiet as planned he has figured out that he can jump up and down and cry, not that this really gets him anywhere except for his bed, but he still does it from time to time. He is also the most loving little boy I could ever ask for. He loves to be held and loved on and sometimes he will just randomly say, "I love you, Mommy." The other day he came up to me and jumped on my lap and said, "I am going to kiss you all over!" and started kissing me all over my face! :)
On Friday we finally got our Christmas tree up. Bry got our lights up outside the weekend of Thanksgiving, but we just hadn't had time to get our tree up. Our house looks so pretty!!
On Saturday of this week Amy, Mom, & I got together to do our annual, "Christmas Cookie Day." We had a blast, we were even able to get some help from Curtis! Mom got him his own apron and he thought he was so cool. There was one time we had 3 spoons in the bowl of Monster Cookies, b/c CW thought we all needed one. He is so silly! Then on Sunday he had his Christmas concert at Church. It was hilarious! He got to stand next to his buddy Baker and they caused a little ciaos. Neither of them really sang at all, but they were up there!

Thanksgiving

Wheww....what a day! We spent the whole day at mom and dad's house. It was nice, Wes, Amy, Zach, and Kristy were there. Curtis LOVED having everyone around!! He loves his uncles and aunts so much!! He was exhausted by the time they left, he fell asleep not even 5 minutes after Zach and Kristy left!! He kept saying, "I'm a big boy I don't need a nap." After a 3 hour nap he was good to go with mom and dad and Bry and I. We had taped the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and we watched it! He loved it, but I do have to say that he was not very happy that they did not show more of the caterpillar and of the horses dancing. I mean really....don't all kids love those things, was it really necessary to cut out on commercial?
We just decided that we will not be doing any early morning shopping. Bry is going to head to work early anyway to help out and get some extra hours and that is the only place we really wanted to get something from. They are having a huge sale on a shop vac, $100.00 shop vac on sale for $20.o0. We have wanted one for a long time and this just is to good not to get one!! So, hopefully we can start keeping our cars and garage more clean!!
Saturday Memaw Iris an Grandpa Doyle are coming to spend a few days with us. CW is so excited to see them!! He runs to the door all the time to see if they are here yet!!
I am so thankful for my husband and for my little Curtis Wade. I thank God everyday for the amazing life he has given me and for the family/friends he has given me to go through it with. I am also very thankful for my parents and for Bryant's parents who are always there for us and the rest of our family that is always there for us. And of course I am thankful to have such great friends who I can always turn to!
I love all of you very much and I am so grateful to have you be a part of my life!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Jesus is Among us!!

So we all know that Jesus is with us in our daily walk, but lately we have had the added reminder from Curtis. It is amazing, he is absolutely loving Sunday School. He is also going to Kids Alive at Church on Wednesdays. When we pick him up from class he can't quit talking about whatever it is that they did that day. He has even started saying his own prayer at supper and bedtime. It is awesome! (We will try to get video of this!) Curtis has helped our family move into a new direction with prayer. Bry and I have always prayed, but we have not been good at praying together. But, now we pray every day usually twice a day toghether. Plus, Wes and Amy got Curtis his first Bible! He LOVES it, it has become a part of our night time routine. We go upstairs, I take CW potty, Bry brushes his teeth (only Daddy can get Lightning McQueen out of his teeth!), I get his bed ready and he comes running in from the bath room screaming I want to read my Bible!!! Its awesome!
The other amazing thing that he has been doing is talking about moments that he and Jesus spend together. The best one is he was telling me how he and Jesus play dinosaurs. "Jesus says that TRex goes 'Roaaar!'" says Curtis. He went on and no about how Jesus was his friend and they loved to play dinosaurs.
One other instance, was we were out @ Nicci's Dad's house for a bonfire and we were in the barn eating with Kevin, Nicci, Holly & Morganne and Curtis looked up at Kevin and said, "Hey Kevin, Jesus is over there." Kevin about feel off of the picnic table, looked at me and said, "Did he just say what I think he said?" I said yep, and Curtis just kept on and on about how Jesus was right over there in that old car! It was awesome to think of Jesus right there with us, but I seriously about fell over laughing at Kevin. He said, "Do you think he can really see him and that he is right there?" I told him I sure hope so!
Aren't God's little children just so precious?

Fall Recap

So, we have gotten new Internet and it is a bit slower then the old...so, me and my patience have not gotten on here to post because the pictures take way to long to post! So, I don't know if you will get pictures, but I can give some details!
1. I got a new ottoman for my birthday! Bry and I have been searching for one to store toys in, I get so sick and tired of looking at toys all over the floor. It is perfect! It is red "faux" leather and it opens from the sides. CW has already mastered it! He thinks he can climb inside and play...

2. The next thing on the agenda was to get CW moved to his big boy room and into a big boy bed! This happened much quicker then we anticipated, but it seems to be working out great! He has been in his big boy room for about 3 weeks and he has just started to get out of bed when he wakes up in the mornings. It is the cutest thing! Sunday morning he came into our room and he had his big whale in one hand and his green blankie in the other...it was priceless!

My hubby working hard on the new bed!

We ended up with robots....sometimes you have to go with what they have at the store at 9:30 at night! I love them though and so does Curtis!

3. Our annual Pumpkin Carving! This is so much fun and I am sure it will become even more fun as our kids grow older! We get together with all of our friends and we carve pumpkins! You know stencils can make us all look like professionals!

Some jobs are just "men" jobs....and cleaning a pumpkin is one of them! CW was such a big helper, his Daddy just loves it when he helps him! One proud little boy! He loved his pumpkin...or maybe he just loved standing on the table, either way we got a good smile!I promise we fed him lunch! He just needed a snack of pumpkin!I couldn't pass up this picture! Justin's being his goofy self! We have so much fun together! Our BEAUTIFUL children! Did you notice they are holding hands?!?!? It is hard to believe they are this big and that round 2 has begun for Leigh and Holly! Oh yeah...our pumpkins! LOL The first one belongs to the Hicks, the second to the Gosewehr's, and three and four to the Grants! There is more to come! We have been loving the change of weather!

From the eyes of a 2 year old!

OK, so through the last 2 years Bryant and I have said that whatever age CW was at was our favorite. We just LOVE being parents. But, then came 2 years old. This is by far the most trying stage, but we LOVE it! CW is so funny and his personality is bursting more than ever. I thought I would just post a few of our favorite things!

From the mouth of Curtis Wade:

1. "Whatca doing?"
2. "Oh..."
3. "mmm...mmm...mmm...hehehehehe!"
4. "Oh maaaan"
5. "Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy"
6. "Probably"
7. "I don't know...probably (the correct answer)."
8. "Wuv you"
9. "Be careful"
10."Hup 2 3 4"
11. Singing Old MacDonald and Baby Baluga

These are just a few favorites....he is talking in complete sentences and non stop all the time. I think the only time he is quiet is when he is sleeping. Although, the other morning I went in there to wake him up and he was talking in his sleep about whales!

Update & Photos!

So, the potty training thing is going great! He is starting to tell us when he has to go, which is helpful! This morning he woke up and started yelling for me saying he had to go potty. I darted out of bed like a mad woman and sure enough, still dry! Another first, he go to use a port-a-potty today at the back to fifties festival! So, all is well in the potty category!
We asked our good friend Holly to take Curtis' 2 year pictures. She is awesome! I have no doubt that one day she will have her own little studio! But here are a few of the pictures that she got of CW and of us!
I stole this picture idea from Bo and Leah!

Potty Training Day 3

OK...so thank goodness we made it through Day 2. It might have started somewhat easy, but man was it ROUGH. Basically all morning...well until like 5:00 he refused to go in the potty. I would take him and he just wouldn't go. You can only sit on the bathroom floor cheering for so long, and I call it quits at 10 minutes. So, after a very frustrating morning and afternoon (he also decided he didn't need to nap) I took him to my moms. Moms fix everything! I was so upset and frustrated. She was a good Memaw and put him on the toilet and just sang and was oh so patient. He got off the toilet and BAM he peed all over the window set. I mean there was a puddle. Of course, my Grandma and Grandpa had just walked in and I'm in tears. I told CW no more under ware, we are back to diapers. So, I took him and put a diaper on him. Like 5 minutes later he was running to me from the front porch screaming, "I poopy, I poopy." So, I said, "You poopied in your diaper?" Then he takes off running to the bathroom...so I follow and he rips off his diaper and we get up on the toilet and would you believe that my very darling little boy pooped and peed right there in the potty. My jaw was on the ground and then there was Memaw, standing in the doorway laughing her butt off at me for just crying my eyes out. We cheered and acted crazy and Memaw gave him 6 M&M's. (which by the way we use from time to time!)

So, today he ventured out of the house for a little while. We went to Home Depot to see Daddy. He peed in the potty there no problem. (I took his seat with me, a trick learned from my good friend Leah.) We were out for about 3 hours and we only had 1 accident. It was the cutest thing! He was in the cart at Target and he had his little legs held together as tight as he could and his hand over his penis and he is just looking at us, like crap! Memaw and I both knew we should have taken him to the potty, he had drank Dr. Pepper for lunch and it goes strait through you. But, we got him all cleaned up and he did awesome!

So, I would like to tell you that tomorrow he is off to Amanda's....but he came down with a fever tonight. So pray he gets feeling better and that this doesn't set us back.
Thought you might like a picture of my Little Man in his Big Boy Under ware!! He likes to be able to see his under ware so, we have been wearing only a shirt!! LOL

Potty Training Day 2

Well the good news is we are still truggin along. He woke up dry from his nap and he woke up dry this morning!! No messes to clean in bed yet! :) Mom found the plastic pants and I put them on him last night to wear to bed and it wasn't 30 seconds and he had peed in them. I think that he thinks they are a diaper....so just strait under ware. This morning he woke up dry and we cheered and danced like crazy. He said "I'm DRY, I'm DRY!!" We went to the potty and it took him forever to get motivated to pee...he wanted his whale (thanks Nicci :)!!) We only got a little of the morning pee out...so, he wet his under ware a little. It is just hard b/c right now he hasn't caught onto telling me if he has to go, so he will just go a little and then come up to me like, hey I just got my under ware wet. So...in time! But, I'm still very proud of my little man! He loves his big boy under ware!

Potty Training Day 1

OK, so we have officially started the potty training process. I was given advice to take a good 3 days at home with them with no major adventures out and about. So, with the holiday weekend I thought why not give it a try. We are almost through day 1 and things are going pretty good. We have only had 1 major accident (only pee!!) The hardest thing was putting him down for his nap. I told him we were going to sleep in a diaper and he FREAKEd out. So...we are sleeping in our dinosaurs. We will see how he does. Many times he does wake up dry from his nap and also in the mornings. But, you better believe we will be running to the potty when he wakes up. We had to get out of bed like 5 times because he had to potty, he usually at least tinkled a little, but nothing major. I asked him if his dinosaurs can get wet and he said "NOOO." I said where do we go potty, "in the toilet," was his reply. We will see how the rest of the day goes, but I'm very proud of him! He LOVES his new big boy under ware too.
I have decided no pull-ups, just plain under ware. We are have looked for the plastic pants that go over the top of his under ware for night time or long endeavours we may encounter, but no luck yet. I have mom out looking for some today in Indy. I have no doubt that she won't let me down!

Bryant Update

Bryant has started back to school. He is taking online course at Capella University, he is studying Financing. Each class is a 10 week course. He decided to start out with 1 class just to get back into the groove of things. We have found that online college is MUCH different then actually attending classes. There is nonstop busy work and it doesn't help that the first class he had to take is sort of like a Freshman Orientation class or getting to know how online college works class. I told him it will get better when he gets into more of the actual financing classes. For some reason he really enjoys numbers....yuck! Last week I felt like a single mother, I can tell you this, I am glad this is not a forever thing! The goal is to be graduated in 2 years with his bachelors. I know he can't wait to get that degree! I think we are in week 4, so we are almost half way there for the first class! Time flies when your having fun! I'll keep you updated on his progress.

Happy Birthday Curtis Wade!

OK, I might be the worst mother ever! Curtis' Birthday was August 16th, but I'm just getting to blogging about my wonderful 2 year old!!
Here is my BIG boy!! Bryant and I made him an ocean cake! He loved it! I can't believe what a big boy he has become. As I was looking back at old photos for this post I am amazed at how much he has matured into a little boy. 2 has proven to be fun already! Curtis has changed from mommies sweet little baby to mommies sweet little dinosaur! I now know why they say have them young....we are non stop all the time! Bryant and I took CW to his 2 year check up and things went great! His height is in the 90th percentile while his weight is in the 75th. She said that his speech is great! In her words, "We expect two year olds to be putting 2-3 words together and to have a 50 word vocabulary, Curtis is speaking in paragraphs, you don't have anything to worry about." I just laughed, I wonder where he gets his talking from?!?!?!
Curtis got some awesome toys for his birthday! If you can imagine almost everything was an animal! He did get some cars (which we are starting to really enjoy!) Daddy and Mommy got CW a swing set. He LOVES it!! I think it was the perfect gift. I'll do a post on the swing set later...CW was Daddies big helper!
Here are some pictures of my precious little boy the last 2 years! The first two are from his 1st Birthday and his 1 year pictures. My good friend Holly is the photographer in both of them, she is awesome. We are hoping to go Friday with her to get CW's 2 year pictures taken!

Look at his precious little face. It is hard to believe that this is his 1 year old pictures.

And the cake picture!

This is not an alien...it is his first picture ever!! Every time I see this picture all I can think about is looking up at Bryant and saying, "It's a Boy!"

My precious little boy being held by his Daddy before we get him dressed to take him home from the hospital. He takes two hands to hold now, but when he was first born, he LOVED for his Daddy to hold him like this!!

July Catch Up

So, once we got through the first two weeks of July you would have thought the fun would stop...Nope! Here is a quick photo update of the rest of July.

Curtis and I cooked supper one night, fresh beans, potato's, & pork in the crock pot. It was sooo good...Curtis really enjoyed the raw potato!

We went to the Boone County fair a couple of times. The first night was with Memaw & Pap. Curtis loves to be up on shoulders, however, he is getting a small fetish with ears, he pulls them, twists them...anything he can. (Pap has the BEST ears for this!!!)

The next morning LeighAnn, Nicci, Holly, & I (plus the kids) went to the fair! We had so much fun. Nicci got a GREAT picture of all of us Mom's walking with the kids! We spent a lot of time in the Old McDonald Barn, because the kids could do whatever they wanted. They were about the only kids in there too, so that was really nice. They all seemed to enjoy the Chicks!! And Dylan especially liked the sheep. It might look like he is stuck, but rest assured he was not!! We couldn't leave the fair without seeing Uncle Gene in the community building working his booth. The boys were so excited to see him, they both just ran to him! Thank goodness it is only two...for now!

After church one Sunday, Memaw and Pap surprised us and took us up to Columbia Park in Lafayette. Curtis LOVED it!! He played in the water with the "Hup Twos" (elephants), looked at the Bald Eagle with Memaw, and he and daddy crawled through tunnels like the ground dogs (or some animal that crawls in tunnels!) Sorry, I couldn't resist the butt shot of Bry!!

That's July in a "big" nut shell! We have LOVED being outside and being a family!! August is a big month too! Curtis turns 2 on August 16th!!!!

Avon "The End"

So, I got "the" phone call tonight. Early...can you believe that?!?!?! But, no luck. As much as I'd like to say its no big deal, it still stinks. I really want to be able to have the summers off with Curtis. But, I guess I just need that right match! The only frustrating thing in this process is that I am trying to do what God wants and to be patient. (I know some of you are laughing at the thought of Brittany and Patience.) I feel like for the first time I can hear him telling me where to go, I mean I was reading some random thing on Saturday and it was talking about how no one sends hand written notes anymore and how much people appreciate them and it makes someone see you as a better person. I had already written my hand written Thank You note to the individuals that I interviewed with, so I thought this was God's way of showing me that I was doing what he wanted (and secure the deal.) But, I guess it wasn't. I doubt they even got the notes before today. They will probably get them tomorrow and read them and be like, that was a nice gesture....
Oh well, it is what I learned to do in college and I guess I'll keep doing it till it works out God's way! I really appreciate every ones prayers and support. I means a lot to me. I am thankful, though that I do have a job that I enjoy to go to every day. Not many people are that lucky, so I am more than grateful for another day at the jail!! :)

Avon II

I think the interview went pretty well. They said they would get back with everyone no later than Wednesday. So, not to long of a wait. Here is the frustrating part...in order to make my application complete with them I would need to be Water Safety Instructor Certified (WSI). This doesn't sound so bad, but it is a week long class that starts on Monday 8/3 and goes through Friday 8/7. It starts at 9am and ends at 5pm, and it costs $235.00. I have said through out this process that I feel this is where God wants me to go, but sometimes it is hard to continue on when things like this come up. I talked to Ken & Marsha (my bosses) and they are fine with me missing the week and I have warned this that if I get the job (when!!) then the first day would be Monday 8/10. So, basically, yesterday could have been my last day at the Jail. This is such an emotional roller coaster. Bry and I have decided that even if I don't get this job that having this WSI will tie up one more lose end for a future potential job.
I do have to say though, that after having my interview Avon seems like a great place to work. I would LOVE to get the job and can't wait to find out. Till Wednesday.....

Avon

OK, so I'm going to take another swing at teaching. I have an interview tomorrow at Avon Intermediate School West at 12:30. I would love to get a teaching job! I feel this is where God is wanting me to go in my life, so hopefully it is at Avon. Bry drove me to Avon tonight so that I would know where I was going. It was a very easy drive, only 30 minutes to get to the school. That is not bad at all. I'm excited because the intermediate school is only 5th & 6th grade. I feel like I would have more opportunities to teach the curriculum the way that I would want to!! So...here goes nothing! If you wouldn't mind and read this post before the big Interview, say a little prayer for me!

Vacation

By the looks of this picture you would think that Dylan and Curtis have been friends forever...but this is only hours after meeting each other, in the car on the way to eat supper "Mexican" which was everyday!! I'm already craving some good eatin!

Sea World was a blast! We could have spent 3 days there and still not have done everything. We stuck with everything animals! You can see by the last picture taken of Curtis that it looks like he is about to go down and out. He and Dillon were such good boys, you would have never known they didn't take a nap! We raise some good kids!!
Couldn't resist this picture, this Sea Lion was just hanging out with his mouth open smiling. He was like this for at least 5 minutes. He must really enjoy life!

New Buddies!!
Curtis has a new friend, Dylan (which is confusing since he has an Indiana Dylan too!) The two of them had a blast together! Here they are riding a ride in Fudruckers (good eatin', not Mexican, but a darn good cheeseburger!) In the second picture is the boys being boys, running around like Monkeys before we see an Imax show. They at least stopped long enough to get a pretty good picture!

Stockyards here we come! I really wanted to stop at the Fort Worth Stockyards on our way home. So, we left Bo and Leah's on Saturday and headed over there. I was so excited to show CW the Long Horns and I was hoping for horses, but not even 5 minutes out of the Maines' drive and this is what happen to my son.....out like a light! So, Bry and I decided to get a few souvenirs and we would head home.

But, as we were finishing up, our little man woke up! "Hi Mommy!" I LOVE this picture!!

He got to ride a horse! He loved it! The lady couldn't believe how good he did. She said most kids his age would never last an entire trip around! We all know how he loves horses! Giddy up Cowboy!!

"Hey Bry, take a picture of Curtis and I."-Britt "Ok."-Bry "Is it good?"-Britt "Yeah, it is really good!." I get to the car and look at the pics and this is what I got...Yes, Bry it is good, but you did buy me a camera with zoom and it does zoom out! Oh well, I still love the picture. (and I LOVE to give my hubby a hard time! Love you babe!)

My big boy leaving Texas! Holding his cup and just relaxing!! We love going to Texas! It was so much fun. We even got to stay with Danielle, Cody, and Caiden! Caiden is the sweetest little guy, (he just turned 4 a few days ago!) He was so nice to CW. I can't talk him up enough! I don't know any 4 year olds, but I can tell you by meeting Caiden that they are a lot of fun! Hopefully, next time we will have more time to see them. (No pictures of the Cawvey's, we were not there long and I couldn't find my camera!)

4th of July Festivities

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Some Other Day!
I LOVE the 4th of July. Who wouldn't growing up in Lebanon?? 6 years ago on the 4th of July Bryant proposed to me! Which has made the day even more special. Now, I have had my very own Beautiful Boy Boone! Who, by the way will NOT sit in a car through an entire parade, even if it is raining cats and dogs! So, like a good Mommy, I got out of the car and let my son run through the rain the entire North East St. I have to say it was fun! Curtis LOVED playing in the water puddles and he loved everyone laughing at him! He is such a ham! I told Bryant he is going to grow up and be some kind of performer. He just LOVES for people to look at him and laugh.
During the week full of festivities we also went to the carnival, the pork chop dinner, the anything goes contest (in which I had a reaction to medication and got sick) and The Symphony at Sunset. Curtis loved all of it. But, if I had to rate favorites for him, it would probably be the Carousel and then the fireworks at the Symphony! Here are some pictures of the great week we had!
The Fireworks!! The Carousel: I think his face says it all!! He got enough tickets to ride 4 times, once with Mommy, Daddy, Memaw, & Pap.

Memaw couldn't let him leave the carnival without getting cotton candy!

The Parade!

I wish we could have had a good picture of Daddy...but someone had to drive the car!

Whook at me...whook at me!! (Curtis Translation: look at me!)
